Calico Critters Hopscotch Grandparents, Nursery Friends, and Otter Family!

Welcome back to Critterland! Today I busted out some Calico Critter / Sylvanian Families sets we haven't opened yet:  Splashy Otter Family ,  Nursery Friends , and the  Hopscotch Rabbit Grandparents . Now that our Critterland is beginning to come together, I thought I'd open these guys up finally. Let's take a look! Splashy Otter Family I waited so long to buy these otters - they were always so expensive everywhere I looked. One day, they came up on Amazon for about $15, so I nabbed them up!  The packaging is so well done! I love the woodland backdrop. What I love most about this family are the tiny babies snuggled up in the little fish-themed slings! Too cute! It was so fun to remove take the otters out of the box and get a good look at their outfits, and I was so pleased to see the otter babies wearing "onesies" underneath the sling. Welcome to Critterland! Our Calico Critters / Sylvanian Families journey begins!

Welcome to Critterland! How did this happen? Why does this adult woman have a room dedicated to Calico Critters?? It all began when I bought a Calico Critters Cozy Cottage for my daughter in 2012. I was amazed at the intricacy, durability, tactility, and just total cuteness of every part of the set and doll. Within a few weeks I bought "her" the Red Roof Country Home, Adventure Treehouse, Koala Family, and a few other sets. The obsession had begun! Scroll down for a video tour at the end of this article! I have always been intrigued by miniatures and dollhouses, and had even played with a Sylvanian Families cottage as a child, so when my passion was reignited, boy did it ignite! Over the next four or five years, I - or "we" - slowly accumulated a couple shelves of Calico Critter sets. And then, once we moved the sets onto a table, the collection ballooned!
